Our Story
Welcome to 东方MYSTERIOUS POWER, a studio where traditional art seamlessly integrates with modern innovation. Established in China, a land renowned for its rich cultural heritage and exquisite craftsmanship, our studio is dedicated to reviving and preserving the ancient art of woodblock printing, which flourished during the Tang Dynasty and reached its zenith in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Founder and Mission
I am a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, born and raised in a region of China recognized as an intangible cultural heritage site for printmaking. My family has passed down the tradition of Chinese printmaking through generations. During my grandparents' generation, our local culture nearly lost this art form due to war. In times of despair, woodblock prints brought hope and light during significant festivals, praying for a brighter future.

Despite the decline in traditional woodblock printing due to modern printing technologies, 东方MYSTERIOUS POWER insists on using traditional handcrafting techniques, maintaining the art's purity and essence.

Our goal is to not only promote and protect this art form within China but also to share this ancient blessing handed down by our ancestors with friends around the world. For those familiar with China's modern history, you'll know that about 80 years ago, our nation went through long periods of war and material poverty. However, we were rich in spirit, always uplifted by our culture. Now as China grows stronger and wealthier, I want these cultural totems to offer comfort and illumination during times of need, just as they did for us.
